Making Our Mornings Easier Tip No #3

If you missed my previous posts on making mornings easier you can see them here and here.

If you can do something the night before.....DO IT!

I try and do the below on every weeknight.

  • Make lunches or snacks for the next day for kinder
  • Get the kids clothes out for the next day
  • Get out any kinder forms that need to be returned
  • Get out library bag for kinder
  • Pack their bags if they are spending the day at the grandparents house

Most of the tips I have mentioned in this little series are not huge time savers by themselves but when you add them all up 1 minute here, 3 minutes here, it does makes a huge difference to those early morning starts.

Rubbermaid Lunchblox Giveaway - Fairdinks

The winners are Becci Sundberg & Kathryn Dunn

For those who follow my facebook page you would know a little while ago I posted, I had found the perfect lunch box for the boys. It's the Rubbermaid Lunchblox. I was purchased the 10 piece set from fairdinks.

Here is what you get with the 10 piece set.

The containers are modular and click together, you can turn them upside down and they won't fall off, and the blue ice blocks also click in place so the items can be kept cold. You can see a you tube video of how the lunchblox works here.

I packed this for Brodie when we went to the Royal Melbourne Show. I used the entree set, side container and 2 snack containers.

I am such a huge fan of the lunchblox, I just couldn't resist contacting Arron from Fairdinks to discuss a potential giveaway. Arron has decided that he will donate 2 x Rubbermaid Lunchblox 10 piece sets for a giveaway......Thanks Arron.

So here is a little info about Fairdinks.

When Fairdinks heard that a big American retailer was coming to Melbourne they said "about time"!

People with businesses and families, love competitive prices on great quality imported and local products.
Fairdinks recognized a gap in the market and launched an online option and delivery service for you.
You can get your favourite quality products from Costco delivered to your door for $15 - this does not include crazy car park excursions.

Fairdinks.com.au also supports multiple charities including:

Candle Drawer Organisation

I use alot of tea light candles and oil burner melts. I have 2 little drawers that I use for these. I wanted to tidy up the drawers. It's nice to do little organising tasks that don't take that long, this one only took 10 minutes.

Can you tell I haven't used essential oils for a very long time. Look at that expiry date.

Bin Bag Tip

Do you find the bin in the bathroom or your office is full so you take the bag out and, then forget or get side tracked on your way to get a new bag. Well here is my little tip that solves that problem.

I keep my bin bags at the bottom of the bin so when I empty it
there is now excuse not to put the new bag straight in.

Junk Drawer Organisation

I was at IKEA browsing the other day and I came across this cutlery tray. My organising started ticking over. I thought that would be great for our junk drawer and what a bargain at only $3.99. Our junk drawer needed attention it had not been touched for at least 6 months.

Here is our junk drawer before.

Junk Drawer Before

So I took everything out of the junk drawer and put it on our dining table.

I went through all the items and organised into 3 piles. A keep pile, purge pile and relocate pile. After this I grouped all like items together from the keep pile. Sorry forgot to take a photo of the keep pile.

And here is the junk drawer now.

Junk Drawer After

I had some little decor containers that I didn't use and they were perfect for separating and containing the smaller items.

Does your purse need to lose some weight?

Do you find your purse is fat and bursting at the seams? Do you have numerous loyalty cards, store cards, discount cards that you don't use often, or are you frantically trying to find a store card at the cash register, then I have the solution for you.

I use a card holder wallet to store all of my rarely used cards. It lives in my handbag. If the store just needs to scan the barcode on the card you don't even have to take the card out.
